Dear Muse Developers,
We’d like to thank you again for your enthusiasm about working with Muse. To keep you informed about our support for the Developer Community, we’re reaching out personally with this message.
As we’ve grown, we’ve struggled to provide the kind of support for developers that we believe our community deserves. For this reason, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to temporarily stop actively supporting the Muse software development kit (SDK).
The SDK has been a popular tool, but it requires a volume of technical support that’s difficult to sustain. To support the community until we can provide a more sustainable solution, we’re happy to continue to offer researcher & developer tools like Muse Direct and File Viewer. Additionally, open source tools built by scientists & tinkerers, like MuseLSL and EEG Notebooks, offer a powerful suite of scientific research options to work with Muse’s sensor data.
If you are hosting a hackathon, an academic or institutional research project, or working on an educational application for neuroscience or neurotech, we will continue to offer support for your projects to the best of our ability (including the legacy SDK for Muse 2016). Please reach out to our R&D team at [email protected].
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer care team.
Chris & Ariel
